Tennis Rankings FAQ

As of Aug 24, 2026, Jannik Sinner leads the ATP men's singles rankings and Aryna Sabalenka leads the WTA women's rankings. The podium cards above show their points and weekly movement.

A player's ranking counts the points earned at tournaments over the last 52 weeks. Bigger events pay more: 2000 points for a Grand Slam title, 1000 for a Masters or WTA 1000. Old results drop off after a year, so a ranking reflects one rolling season of form.

The ATP and WTA publish updated lists every Monday after the tour week ends. The table on this page is a snapshot of the official rankings as of Aug 24, 2026.

The ATP ranks the men's professional tour and the WTA ranks the women's. The points systems are similar but separate: use the tabs above, or open the full ATP and WTA top-50 tables for every ranked player we track.
