Elena Rybakina

At No. 2 in the WTA rankings with 8,141 points, Elena Rybakina has opened the season with a brisk 2-1 record. The 27-year-old from Kazakhstan has claimed eight career titles and holds a 67-percent career win rate, numbers that reflect the consistency of her power-based game. One early loss keeps her from a fully clean slate, but her right-handed serve and flat groundstrokes remain formidable on any surface.

Rybakina’s two wins this year show she can close out matches against lower-ranked opposition, while the single defeat offers a marker for how she adjusts under pressure. With a ranking that places her among the top two in the world, she has earned the right to be judged on deep runs at the season’s biggest events. Age and experience line up in her favor, and her early-season form suggests she will remain a fixture in the upper reaches of the draw for weeks to come.
