About Coco
Coco Gauff sits at No. 4 in the WTA rankings with 6,704 points, making her the top-ranked American on tour. The 22-year-old from Delray Beach, Florida, carries the weight of home expectation in a deep U.S. field, yet her recent form stands apart. She has opened the season with three wins against a single loss, a 75 percent win rate that underscores her consistency.
Gauff’s 10 career titles place her among the most decorated active Americans, and her right-handed attack, built around a two-handed backhand, suits the faster hard courts she grew up on. As the highest-ranked U.S. woman, she serves as the reference point for a generation chasing her lead.
