Madrid plays by its own rules. This Masters 1000 dual-tour event sits 2,000 feet up, thinning the air and speeding up clay into a shootout. The 96-player draw, running 22 April to 4 May, offers €8.0M in prize money.

Alex Zverev returns as a three-time champion here, while Aryna Sabalenka, the women's defending titlist, thrives on this quick dirt. Expect aggressive, first-strike tennis in both ATP and WTA brackets.
