Liudmila Samsonova

Liudmila Samsonova brings flat, heavy ball-striking from the baseline, using her right-handed swing to seize control early in rallies. She likes to stand close to the baseline and redirect pace sharply, which makes her particularly dangerous on fast surfaces where her first strike can dictate immediately. The power in her groundstrokes often forces opponents into reactive positions, and she backs that with a serving game that generates free points when her timing clicks.

Ranked 45th, Samsonova has won five career titles, though her 2025 season has been uneven, with six wins against ten losses. That form curve illustrates the tradeoff of her all-out style: when precision wavers, errors quicken. But even in struggling stretches, she stays aggressive, a trait that keeps her matches short and her ceiling high on any quick court.
