About Ignacio
Ignacio Buse, the 22-year-old from Peru, has moved to No. 36 in the ATP rankings on the back of 1,310 points. That placing puts him squarely in the top tier of the South American contingent, and his numbers this season back up the steady climb. Buse has won five career titles, with his 2025 record knotted at 11 wins against 10 losses, a 52 percent win rate that points to a player grinding through the middle rounds and taking his chances when they arrive.
Right-handed and built on a reliable baseline game, Buse will lean on that early-season form as he tries to turn break-even results into a push up the charts. His current trajectory suggests he is learning how to win at this level, not just compete. The ranking is his reward so far, but the 11 wins hint there is more to come.
