Daniel Merida

Daniel Merida sits at No. 39 in the ATP rankings with 1,157 points, a position built on a steady, grinding campaign rather than a single breakout fortnight. His birth nation is Spain, and that base has helped him thrive on clay, where his defensive instincts and heavy topspin wear down opponents over long rallies.

The shape of his season points to remarkable consistency. His win rate is top-tier for a player ranked just outside the top 30, meaning he rarely loses to players below him in the pecking order. The flip side is a relative shortage of statement wins at Masters or Grand Slam level, leaving room to turn solid weeks into deep major runs. For now, Merida’s profile is one of relentless accumulation.
