Luca Van Assche

Luca Van Assche, 22, arrives at No. 40 in the ATP rankings with 1,140 points and a career haul of eight titles, a strong base for a player still in his developmental window.

The Frenchman, right-handed, has won 23 of 34 matches this season, a 68 percent clip that signals growing consistency on the main tour.

For a player with more than half his career titles banked before age 23, the next step is converting that early success into deeper runs at bigger events. Van Assche's ranking puts him on the cusp of seeded berths at Masters 1000s, and those are the stages where 20-something risers typically translate junior-era volume into top-30 stability. His current form suggests the gap is narrowing, though the workload of a full ATP season will test how well that early title count carries over.
